CartoFront FAQs

What is CartoFront?

CartoFront is a FREE application that simplifies flood insurance for REALTORS®. 


  • On the buy side, agents can guide clients to houses that have the greatest potential of becoming home, while maintaining and growing their value.
  • On the sell side, agents can proactively understand what questions may come up from potential buyers. 


CartoFront’s goal is to put you in a position to be a star … and be the most knowledgeable, confident and profitable REALTOR® in your market.  

How does CartoFront work?

CartoFront is integrated directly into Matrix next to each ML Listing #.  Just look for ‘the raindrop’  and click to request flood zone determination and estimated flood insurance quotes.  Each time you request a quote, you will open a new browser window -- so you can compare multiple properties at one time while never leaving the Matrix system  

What is the cost to an Agent?

FREE.  CartoFront is a value-added service as part of your Miami REALTORS®  membership.

What information is presented once I click on ‘the raindrop’?

  • ML Listing #
  • Property Address
  • NFIP Flood Zone Designation
  • Comparison of estimated flood insurance and basic coverage details
    • Public (NFIP) estimated flood insurance quote
    • Private (Beyond Floods) estimated flood insurance quotes
      • Essential -- apples to apples comparison to NFIP
      • Enhanced -- option to go beyond $250,000 NFIP minimum, per value of property
  • Unique quote number for each property requested
  • Date of information requested
  • LINKS TO:  Flood Insurance Disclaimer, Terms of Service, Privacy Policy

Is CartoFront bilingual?

Yes.  At the top of the application, agents can choose English or Spanish.

How do I share the information to my client?

There are two ways the agent can present the CartoFront flood insurance information:

  • Email
  • Print PDF

How do I add my client to the CartoFront system?

The agent clicks “Add New Contact” bar and is required to enter the following information:

  • First, Last Name
  • Client email
  • Client phone number (optional)

Once the agent has added a new contact, an electronic file is created.  The agent then clicks to send email, and can choose their clients name from a list of names to send the email.  

How do I email information to my client?

Once the client is added to the CartoFront system, the agent can click on the ‘For’ box to select their clients name from a list of names to send an email.  Once selected, click ‘Email Quote’ button.  At that moment, a confirmation box will be presented confirming the ‘To’ email address.  Once the information is correct, click ‘Send.’  On the receiving end, the client receives an email from quotes@cartofront.com with the subject line: Flood Insurance Options - 1234 Property Address Drive (customize for the actual property address requested)

Beyond my client, who else receives the email?

All client emails are copied to two people:


  • To the agent, so that they have an electronic copy of the communication for their client records.


  • Local insurance agent Anabella Loretta of Acadian Managers.  As part of the free service, CartoFront has partnered with a local, bilingual insurance agency to support, counsel, bind flood insurance policies. 

How can I create a PDF / print the CartoFront information?

Click the ‘Print a PDF’ button, and the displayed information will be formatted into a PDF suitable for printing.  All the information on the quote will be displayed on one page, and will be personalized to include the agent’s name and email address. The agent would print out the PDF as they normally would any other printed material.

Will there be training and education regarding Flood Insurance?

Yes, CartoFront is working with Miami REALTORS® to integrate training and education into current training classes.  In addition, CartoFront and their Insurance Agency Partner Acadian Insurance have made one of our online training sessions available on our Youtube Page
